Production and installation of a two-tanks transit tunnel in Mexico

Two-tanks transit tunnel with conveyor belt
Type: DVT-610/100/15 RVS-W/E 2T

Parts to clean

Gears contaminated with oil and chips.

Construction of the transit tunnel

This two-tanks transit tunnel is subdivided into six compartments:

  1. Loading zone
  2. Washing zone
  3. Dripping zone 1 with bower

The dripping zone between the washing and rinsing compartment is provided with a blower connected to an air knife placed juste above the products.
The purpose of this air knife is to remove the wash water from the parts and return it to the wash tank to prevent as much mixing as possible between the baths.
Power of the blower: 1 x 5,5 kW

4. Rinse zone 1
5. Rinse zone 2
6. Dripping zone 2 with bower
7. Drying/blowing off zone with two blowers

Two blowers of 5,5 kW and corresponding air knifes have been installed to ensure correct drying.

Total length of this transit tunnel: 6.050 mm (excl. loading/unloading table)

Loading conveyor belt

An independant loading conveyor belt has been installed at the entrance of the tunnel. The contaminated gears are placed on this. Length loading table: 1.100 mm

The speed of the conveyor belt is continuously adjustable between 1,2 and 5 m/min.

Maintenance and inspection

For easy maintenance and inspection, the roof of the tunnel is designed as a hinged cover.
The cover is secured with roll switches so that the pump and conveyor belt don’t operate or stop when the cover is open.

Additional options

  • Oil separator
  • Vapor condensers
  • Electric metering pump with delivery regulation
  • Level security
